Spray foam insulation for oilfield applications

Insul-Foam Services has been applying spray foam insulation, polyurethane foams and protective coatings since 1979. We have many years of experience in oilfield applications and in many different areas within the industry.

Insul-Foam recently sprayed a large oilfield skid for a customer. A skid is a heavy metal based platform often used to support machinery and heavy equipment. They typically have no bottom deck and the structure is usually on skis or skids which allows them to be pulled into position through almost any terrain.

We have the equipment to reach the heights and depths of these large structures to insulate where needed. In the images below we used Class 1 polyurethane spray foam from Genyk and sprayed to a depth of 3 inches. Genyk insulation polyurethane foam is thermally efficient and environmentally friendly, excellent for skids or platforms that are outdoors and exposed to the elements year round.

Spray foam solutions for your concession trailer

With so many different types of trailers available, there’s no limit on what type of business could be launched. In the images below we recently spray foamed the underside of a concession trailer for a customer. This application was 4 inches except for the tanks that hung a bit lower. Because their concession trailer is operated through the colder months, Insulfoam is certain they’ll notice a huge difference this winter from last.

Spray foam insulation is safe, economical, and one of the quickest and easiest ways to insulate a concession trailer. This insulation material can be sprayed directly onto the interior walls which will ensure your trailer withstands the rigors of temperature change.

If you have a service vehicle that has to be out in extreme cold, or heat for that matter, spray foaming the interior of your vehicle can help prevent cold from getting in and guard against extreme heat in warmer weather. Spray foam provides the highest R-value at R-7 and besides being a great insulator it can keep metal vehicle walls from condensation and tap down exterior sound.

Spray foam insulation should be installed by an expert for the best results. Call Insulfoam at 403-248-6616. We’d be happy to answer all your questions or arrange an appointment for a FREE estimate.

Protect your corporate investment

If your business is mobile pressure washing or anything that involves your equipment being out in cold weather, you might want to protect your investment and insulate the transport vehicle. Insulating the vehicle or trailer that carries your tools and keeps things like water tanks and other fluid based containers that may freeze warm and cozy is just a good business plan.

Insul-Foam Services spray foamed the inside of this cargo trailer that houses this business’s mobile pressure washer units. This closed cell spray foam application will help them be able to work in the colder weather and keep their tanks and products from freezing.

It’s still only September, but why not be proactive before the cold weather is upon us?! Using closed foam insulation is the smart way to protect your investment.

Keep the cold out with Insul-foam spray foam

When haven’t you been in a drafty warehouse? It’s normal right? Well it doesn’t have to be. With as little as two inches of spray foam insulation you can completely change the comfort level of old warehouses, Quonset huts and even barns.

Spray polyurethane foam, commonly referred to as SPF, is a sprayed foam insulation that starts as a liquid, goes through specialized equipment, and is then mixed at the end of the spray gun. It is sprayed onto a surface and expands multiple times past its original volume. The properties of spray foam make it a much tighter sealant and insulator than packaged material you might generally apply to your house or commercial structure. The ability to spray it also allows its use on extraordinary shaped structures.

What is spray foam and why is it used?

Spray polyurethane foam, commonly referred to as SPF, is a sprayed  foam insulation that starts as a liquid, goes through specialized equipment, and is then mixed at the end of the spray gun. It is sprayed onto a surface and expands multiple times past its original volume. SPF formulas can be adjusted to have different physical properties depending on the type of application you need it for. For example, the same basic materials can make an insulation foam that is semi-rigid and soft to the touch, and those same materials can also create a high-density roofing foam that is resistant to various weights and water.

Spray foam insulation is used in both residential and commercial applications because of its ability to seal and insulate structures. Common uses for it include home insulation and structure sealing. The properties of spray foam make it a much tighter sealant and insulator than packaged material you might generally apply to your house or commercial structure. The ability to spray it also allows its use on extraordinary shaped structures. Learn more about spray foam applications.

Import van insulated for camperization

Spray foam can be used for many purposes such as noise reduction, to block air leaks, stop insect infestation, seal out dust and pollen, seal gaps, cracks and voids, secure windows against heat loss, and add structural strength, to name a few.

Spray foam applications are ideal for insulating motor homes, RVs, trailers, work and cargo-related vans, and even tiny homes!

For this project Insul-Foam Services spray foamed the interior of this right hand-drive van whose owner was converting into a camper. A unique use for spray foam, but a practical one, as the insulation greatly increased the R-value and now it will be warm and cozy while camping on those chilly Alberta nights in the mountains.
