Highly efficient & effective solution for residential & commercial insulation needs

Insulation is an essential component of any building structure, providing protection from extreme temperatures and reducing energy consumption. Spray foam insulation has become increasingly popular for both residential and commercial applications due to its superior insulating properties and numerous other benefits.

One of the most significant advantages of spray foam insulation is its high R-value per inch. It offers the best insulation per inch of any readily available insulation, allowing you to fix more insulation in a tighter space. This feature makes it an ideal choice for retrofitting existing buildings or insulating tight spaces.

Another benefit of spray foam insulation is that it seals out dust and pollen, making it an excellent choice for individuals with allergies or asthma. The insulation also provides an impenetrable barrier to air infiltration and leaks, blocking air leaks better than other forms of insulation.

Using spray foam insulation can lead to noticeably lower monthly utility bills, as it expands to seal gaps, cracks, and voids in walls and ceilings. This type of insulation also adds structural strength, making it an excellent option for commercial buildings or structures in areas with high winds or seismic activity.

Spray foam insulation will not slip out of place over time, as can happen with other conventional insulation materials. This material meets building code requirements and is accepted nationwide.

Overall, spray foam insulation offers superior insulation, improved air quality, and energy savings, making it a smart choice for any building structure. To arrange an appointment to discuss your spray foam project contact us at 403-248-6616.

Protect your RV, trailer or motorhome with spray foam insulation

RVs, trailers and motorhomes are popular choices for those looking for a mobile lifestyle or a way to travel comfortably on a budget. While these vehicles offer many benefits, they can also come with their own unique set of challenges. Two of the biggest concerns are pests and cold weather.

One solution to both of these issues is to add spray foam insulation to the bottom of your RV. Spray foam insulation is a great way to prevent pests such as mice and insects from making their way into your RV. It can also help reduce the amount of road dust that enters your RV, making it a more pleasant living space.

In addition to preventing pests and dust, spray foam insulation can also increase the R-value of your RV’s floor. This means that your RV will be better insulated, keeping you more comfortable in both hot and cold weather.

Overall, RVs, trailers and motorhomes are a great way to travel and experience the world around you. By adding spray foam insulation and heat pads to your RV, you can help protect it from pests, reduce road dust, increase its insulation and enjoy the comfort of your RV in all seasons.

Stay warm & comfortable with a good closed cell spray foam application

Here’s a recent project we did that totally changed the feel of a 60’s bi-level. What was in this attic before was typical of that era with paper faced fiber glass batts and no vapour barrier. Unfortunately mould was causing a fair bit of damage. So, after the remediation, Insul Foam Services applied 5” (R31.1) of Genyk Boreal Nature Elite (in a 2×6 rafter space) which will keep this family much warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer, not to mention the smaller heating and cooling bills!

There’s no reason why even these older 2×4 framed homes with 2×6 rafters can’t be very comfortable and efficient with a good closed cell spray foam application. Looking forward to helping the next customer transform one of these older homes.

Benefits of spray foam insulation

Spray foam insulation is a popular choice for homeowners and contractors who want to maximize the energy efficiency of their building. One of the many applications for spray foam is insulating floor systems, both in new builds and renovation projects. Here are some of the benefits of using spray foam insulation for your floor system:

Greater R-Value: Spray foam insulation has a high R-value, which means it provides superior insulation compared to other insulation types. By creating a continuous and seamless insulation layer, spray foam can prevent thermal bridging and air leakage, resulting in a greater R-value and better energy efficiency.

Energy Savings: By reducing the amount of heat lost through your floor system, spray foam insulation can help you save on your energy bills. With less energy needed to heat your home, you’ll reduce your carbon footprint and make a positive impact on the environment.

Improved Comfort: Insulating your floor system with spray foam can create a more comfortable living environment by reducing drafts, cold spots, and temperature fluctuations. This can also improve indoor air quality by preventing moisture infiltration and reducing the likelihood of mold growth.

Longevity: Spray foam insulation can last for decades without the need for replacement, making it a cost-effective and durable solution for your floor system. It also provides a barrier against pests and moisture, which can help prevent damage to your home’s structure over time.

If you’re considering insulating your floor system with spray foam, be sure to work with a qualified and experienced contractor who can provide a customized solution that meets your specific needs. Ready to insulate your van against the heat of the summer?

We have a spray foam solution for you.

Spray foam insulation is a common thermal insulator used for vans (and other recreational vehicles). It is airtight and easy to apply, making it a popular choice for van owners.

Spray foam RV insulation is a very lightweight alternative that’s relatively affordable and it creates an effective seal against outside temperatures as well as moisture.

Spray foam insulation is easier to install than rigid foam insulation. To install, you load spray foam into an applicator and spray it directly onto the walls, ceiling and floor of your van, in the space where rigid foam sheets would go.

Here are some pros of using spray foam insulation:

  • Creates a highly energy-efficient thermal envelope
  • Extraordinary thermal qualities
  • Improves air quality in your van
  • Reduces noise pollution
  • Helps to keep moisture and allergens out
  • Can be used in hard-to-access places
  • Moisture-resistant and airtight seal

Increase the warmth, reduce the heating costs!

There’s nothing worse in the winter months than being cold in your own home, but did you know that most Canadian homes lose a good portion of the heat their furnace produces through improper insulation or construction? This leads to turning up the thermostat to compensate for the loss and consequently an increase in heating costs.

Most people don’t really know where the heat is escaping from in their homes. Here a few of the most common areas where heat loss occurs in the average Canadian home:

1. Attic

This is the most common place for heat loss and can be up to as much as 24% .

2. Doors & Windows

Poor installation is mostly the cause for heat loss in these areas and can also add 25% loss.

3. Basement Floors

Almost 15% of home heat lost is through the basement and other floors.

Spray foam insulation is one of the options that is available to combat these areas of heat loss. Attics are especially easy to upgrade with spray foam and can greatly increase your R-value with a good closed-cell spray foam insulation. Three inches of closed-cell spray foam can take your R-value as high as R-6.5 per inch. Ultimately, decreasing your heating costs.
