The cargo van in the images below is being used as a plumbing service vehicle. It definitely wasn’t too comfy on some of those early minus 30 degree mornings that we’ve been known to experience during Alberta winters.

Mine Manager’s Home – Canmore, Alberta

On this job we helped a builder seal up a foundation issue from the outside. They did a great job furring out the foundation for us to add a three inch minimum application of closed cell spray foam. We also added a two inch application over the existing two inch polystyrene that was installed under the front vestibule. This will make a huge difference for this very interesting old home. It’s called the Mine Manager’s Home – one of three heritage homes in Canmore, Alberta.

Closed-cell spray foam application

We recently spray foamed a basement in a 108 year old home. I’m sure that the addition of the closed-cell spray foam (Genyk Boreal Nature) will change the feel of this basement in a big way.

Closed-cell spray foam insulation has the best R-value per inch and cost of any readily available insulation. Closed-cell spray foam is not vapor permeable and will not hold water, it expands to seal gaps, cracks and voids in walls and ceilings, and blocks air leaks better than other forms of insulation.

Spraying your cargo trailer with spray foam provides the highest R-value

Insul-Foam recently sprayed this cargo trailer for a contractor who’s setting up a great work trailer. We also sprayed the underside of this one at two inches.

If you have a service vehicle that has to be out in extreme cold, or heat for that matter, spray foaming the interior of your vehicle can help prevent cold from getting in and guard against extreme heat in warmer weather. Spray foam provides the highest R-value at R-7 and besides being a great insulator it can keep metal vehicle walls from condensation and tap down exterior sound.

Heavy spray foam application

Here at Insul-Foam we think this is one of the best ways to build a house! It’s full ICF wall construction and a six inch application of closed cell spray foam to the underside of roof. We spray foamed the gables at a depth of five inches as well. You could heat this house with candles I’m sure!

Blocks air leaks better than other forms of insulation

Here’s a recent air seal job we did in an older industrial bay. Lots of these older bays have pretty serious gaps around the perimeter at the head of the wall. Spraying foam is a great way to seal up these areas and cut down on heat loss as well as noise from bay to bay.
